June 5: DUSA June Social Gathering

June 8: Dragon Boat Festival

To celebrate this month's Dragon Boat Festival, the Suzhou Bureau of Culture, Broadcasting, Television and Tourism has put together a fun excursion on June 8, starting with a visit to the Panmen Gate scenic spot. After visiting Panmen Gate, you'll be welcomed aboard a dragon boat where you'll learn about Suzhou's traditional culture, make rice dumplings and enjoy a pingtan performance during the two-hour ride.

June 8: The Sundaze @  Zhangmen Craft Brewery

Who doesn’t love beer, burgers and live music? The Sundaze will be performing all of your favorite covers at Zhangmen Craft Brewery on June 8. It's the perfect place to celebrate the holiday. RMB120 gets you free flow craft beer from 8-11pm. And there will be plenty of burgers, too.

June 9: Summer BBQ & Bouncy Castle

It's officially summer, so let's celebrate! The Camel and El Luchador are hosting a family-friendly event on Sunday June 9 complete with brunch, BBQ, a bouncy castle and a happy hour starting at 10am. Enjoy Mexican brunch at El Luchador or dive into a huge BBQ at The Camel. There will be free flow Coronas, sangria and margaritas as well as hot dogs for just RMB35.

June 15: 6th Annual Suzhou World Cup

The annual Suzhou World Cup is a one-day football tournament that brings together over 300 players and their families from all over the world for a fun day of football, food and drinks. This year's event will be bigger than ever!

June 21: InterNations Summer Event

Fridays: Jinji Lake Music Fountain

After a two-month hiatus, Suzhou's famous Jinji Lake Music Fountain is back in action. Located in the city's Industrial Park, this gorgeous display combines music and light. It's the perfect activity for the whole family. The show takes place every Friday from 8-8.30pm.

Events worth traveling to Shanghai for:

June 9 & 11-16: CATS 

CATS is one of the longest-running shows in West End and Broadway history. Since its premiere, it has been presented in over 30 countries, translated into 15 languages and seen by over 73 million people worldwide. And in June it's headed right here to Shanghai. The event will take place at Shanghai Culture Square on June 9 and 11-16 (times vary).

June 13: Maki Ohguro

Japanese singer and songwriter Maki Ohguro is all set to perform in Shanghai in June. Maki got her start in the music industry in 1989 as a backup singer for a whole slew of famous artists. But two years into her career, Ohguro started writing her own songs and it's all been uphill from there. You can see the pop singer in Shanghai on June 13 at Bandai Namco Shanghai Base Dream Hall

June 30-July 31: Club Med's International Summer Camp in Anji

Summer is right around the corner which means it's time to start making those summer plans. The 1-week Club Med International Summer Camp in Anji will be held at the gorgeous Anji Club Med Resort on June 30, July 7, July 14 and July 21. There's a reason why the Club Med International Summer Camp has been dubbed 'the best summer camp in China'. Campers will be able to participate in all sorts of indoor and outdoor activities such as kayaking, archery, baseball, rugby, golf, football, volleyball and more. In addition, the camp will educate kids through a variety of courses: technology, drama, sports, programming, STEM, speech, drama and more. Experts will be on site to teach and mentor children. The 1-week Anji camp is RMB11,800 per child. However, customers who buy two tickets (within a single purchase) will be reimbursed  RMB1,500 after the event.
