The Dragon Boat Festival, a Chinese national holiday, falls on Friday, June 7 this year. To celebrate, Suzhou's Bureau of Culture, Broadcasting, Television and Tourism has put together a program of events on Saturday, June 8, starting with a visit to the Panmen Gate scenic spot.
After visitng Panmen Gate, one of Suzhou's oldest structures dating from 500 B.C., you'll be welcomed aboard a dragon baot where you'll learn about Suzhou's traditional culture, make rice dumplings and enjoy a pingtan performance during the two-hour ride.
To register for this event, scan the QR code on the flyer. The group will meet at 1:15pm at the entrance of Panmen Gate (29 East Street, Gusu Disctrict).
