With the advent of VUCA and industry 4.0, many professionals in the workplace often report that they feel anxious and find it difficult to manage emotions effectively. EQ becomes more important to individual success as we move up the corporate ladder, and we can't achieve success with only technical skills and knowledge. We need to collaborate with others more and use their resources to achieve better outcomes. Individual effectiveness metrics come from career success (e.g., influence, output), quality of life (health, life balance), social network (interpersonal) and happiness.
A large number of data have shown a downward trend in EQ of both global and Chinese people. Meanwhile, the data also proves the success of people with high EQ in personal effectiveness. What is EQ leadership? High EQ leadership is not about being a yes-man/woman or a smooth talker. EQ leadership is more about accurately identifying and accepting both your own emotions and others', treating emotions as a resource, and combining thinking and emotions to make the best decision. This EQ leadership workshop transforms EQ into 3 stages: knowing emotions, choosing emotions and transcending emotions, and eight competencies. Through an experiential workshop, participants will have a new understanding of EQ leadership and its associated competencies. Competency also means we have ways to help students improve it. Through this highly experiential and reflective workshop, learn how to develop two of the EQ competencies.
