2014 Strawberry Music Festival May 16 to 18

Founded in 2009 and having since emerged as China's favorite rock fest, the Strawberry Music Festival 2014 is returning to Shenzhen launch into summer with some eclectic sounds from May 16 to18.

Themed 'SNS is rubbish, get a real life!' the festival, will be giving a taste of straweberries through a mix of rock, indie, dance and electronic sounds.

Groundbreaking deaf rapper Signmark will be making an appearance, performing in International Sign Language and South Chinese Sign Language, which he learnt especially for the tour! This year’s lineup also includes: Nimbus from New Zealand, Lovetron from the US and Robert Schwartzman. Homegrown talent will include New Pants, Su Yang and Wutiaoren.

Shenzhen Goes Local with Honey Lake Music Festival

Honey Lake Music Festival, Shenzhen’s first-ever outdoor music festival showcasing local music, will rock the shores of Xiangmei Bei this Saturday. Ten local bands including Space Folk, the Friendly Cannons, Dragon Turtle, the Evil Deeds and Pokemon Dad will play from 2-10pm on a large outdoor stage.
