The COVID-19 Prevention and Control Headquarters in Bao’an district, Shenzhen announced more restrictive measures after a new case was confirmed on June 21.

The patient is a 64-year-old female who lives in Fuwei Community in Bao’an district. After four negative nucleic acid tests on June 8, 10, 15, and 18, on June 20 the test came back positive. She was then transferred to the emergency district of Shenzhen Third People’s Hospital for isolation and treatment, where she was diagnosed with COVID-19 (common type).

All restaurants in Bao’an are suspending dine-in services and are switching to take-out and pickup services instead.

Confined entertainment spaces such as saunas, massage parlors, spas, beauty centers, tea houses, chess and card rooms, mahjong halls, internet cafes, bars, KTVs, theaters, cinemas, escape rooms, gyms, swimming pools and the like are temporarily closed.

Child care institutions plus offline education and training institutions are also all closed.

Large-scale events in the district are discouraged, and group activities will be strictly controlled to reduce the gathering of people. Residents are advised to keep gatherings to a minimum.
