Hunny Dew is a LGBTQ party series welcome to all. There will be five DJs and two fabulous drag queens, from Shanghai, Guangzhou and Shenzhen.

Sat, Mar 13: Chinese Urbanism
China is remaking its cities on a massive scale. From megacities to small towns, the state (supported by its growing middle class) happily produces uniform living spaces with a fetish for homogeneity. They’ll discuss the various features of modern-day cities in China, as well as addressing existing forms of Chinese urbanism, questioning whether the new city models retain or replace Chinese lifestyles. Should modern Chinese society change the way it lives, works and commutes?

Five women will be speaking at the event, sharing their stories. Cocktail food will be served for two hours and red, white and sparkling wine served for three hours.

Sat, Mar 13: Domesticated Humans Live Improv Comedy Show
Domesticated Humans is Shenzhen’s long-form improv group. Long-form improv is a type of stage comedy where a suggestion is taken from the audience to build an entirely improvised show with various characters and storylines. It will be full of laughs, fun and drama. This will be a show unlike any other you have ever seen.

Sun, Mar 14: Book Exchange Library
Come browse books, meet people and exchange ideas. This is Shenzhen's biggest expat library, with around 800 English books and 200 Chinese/foreign language ones. During events, the collection is open for checkouts, returns, discussions and the occasional special event.

Sun, Mar 14: Sunwave @ DIY
Cherish golden hour and savor sundown this Sunday afternoon at DIY as SUNWAVE pitches up in the open air for an evening of casual revelry and four-on-the-floor mysticism in association with Totally Rad and Sountz. DJs Ectoplazm (Totally Rad), ZZM and Lovetron will be on deck with a delectable blend of house, Italo disco, retrowave and synthwave.

Until Mar 31: Mediterranean Meals at The Langham
Until the end of March, guests at The Langham, Shenzhen’s all-day dining restaurant Silk will be able to get a taste of the ultimate Mediterranean offerings with a special menu designed by Guest Chef Mr. Michael Barazi. With over 10 years of culinary experience and a strong passion for Mediterranean cuisine, Mr. Barazi is known for his interpretation of classic Mediterranean dishes using authentic ingredients from Greece, Turkey, Italy, Spain and other countries. The special Mediterranean menu will be available during lunch and dinner.
