Lunar New Year Celebration at Grand Hyatt Shenzhen

Dining is an integral part of the Lunar New Year celebration and Grand Hyatt Shenzhen is offering something to delight every palate with special auspicious set dinner menus. Cantonese restaurant, China Lodge and Northern and Sichuan restaurant, 1881 will both be offering splendid dining experiences to welcome an auspicious start to the Lunar New Year in 2021.

China Lodge – Cantonese Cuisine

China Lodge is a traditional Cantonese-style restaurant which comprises 14 private dining suites.  To celebrate the dawn of the Year of the Ox, they are offering three dinner menus featuring a refined selection of traditional favorites such as roasted suckling pig, fish maw soup, wok-baked lobster with other premium Chinese delicacies. “Fortune” is priced at RMB8,888, “Wealth” at RMB10,888 and “Health” at RMB16,888 for eight people. The menus will be available from February 11 to 18.

1881 – Northern Chinese and Sichuan Delicacies 

1881 offers a unique ‘dining in the kitchen’ atmosphere with authentic Northern Chinese and Sichuan cuisines. 1881 will present four unique New Year menus: “Happiness”, priced at RMB2,688 for six people; “Love”, priced at RMB3,888 for eight people; “Wealth”, priced at RMB5,888 for 10 people; “Prosperity” priced at RMB6,888 for 12 people. The menus include wood-fired Peking duck, lamb, live steamed tiger grouper and handmade dumplings that are sure to satisfy big, happy families looking to get into the festive spirit. The set menus will be available from February 11 to 18.

Poon Choi and Rice Cakes 

Poon Choi is an auspicious dish symbolizing family reunions and prosperity, and has long been considered part of the dining culture during Lunar New Year. A selection of Poon Choi featuring abalone, fish maw and sea cucumber for four to six people is priced from RMB1,588, will be available until February 12 to wish you a prosperous year ahead. In addition, the homemade rice cake set is perfect for ushering in a bright new year, priced at RMB288 per set for two pieces, as well as a sauce gift set priced at RMB268.

In addition, The Mansion is the perfect private venue for a reunion dinner on February 11, with Chinese-themed decorations, Lunar New Year snack boxes and a New Year lucky draw, including a live broadcast of the CCTV Spring Festival Gala to complete the experience.
