Joseph Zitnik Named Area General Manager of Greater Shenzhen Area

In February, Joseph Zitnik has been appointed by Hilton as Area General Manager of the Greater Shenzhen Area. Joseph Zitnik will oversee a portfolio of 14 Hilton brand hotels including while acting as General Manager at Hilton Shenzhen World Exhibition & Convention Center and Hilton Garden Inn Shenzhen World Exhibition & Convention Center. Joseph Zitnik will report directly to John Burger, VP Operations South Greater China and Mongolia.

John Burger said, “Joseph Zitnik has a wealth of experience in hotel management, having previously led hotels in the Shanghai area to optimal financial performance. With this appointment, he will be able to deliver even better results for hotels in the greater Shenzhen area and open two highly anticipated new Hilton hotels in Shenzhen.”

Joseph Zitnik has many years of hotel management experience in Asia Pacific and China. He joined Hilton Hotels & Resorts in 2012 and was most recently Area General Manager for the Shanghai area. Before joining Hilton Hotels & Resorts, Joseph Zitnik held General Manager and senior management positions at InterContinental Hotels Group, Banyan Tree Resorts Group and Hyatt Hotels. Joseph Zitnik was also previously Vice President of Operations at OCT International Hotel Management Company.

Joseph Zitnik is from the US and holds a Bachelor of Honors degree in Communications from the University of Hawaii. He has worked in Asia Pacific including Thailand, the Philippines, Indonesia, Guam and China.

Hilton Shenzhen World Exhibition & Convention Center offers 325 deluxe and comfortable guestrooms and suites, with spectacular harbor views and stunning city views. The hotel features 2,200 square meters of versatile meeting and banquet facilities, including a 1,350-square-meter pillar-free grand ballroom with 9 meters of ceiling height, 4D holographic projection and vehicle lift.
