That’s Shenzhen takes a look at the best live music shows this weekend.

Catch two intoxicating sets at Oil on Saturday night as Sinus O and Provoda provide transcendent beats for music lovers, dance fanatics and anyone with shoes. Sinus O’s sets show off a wide range of techno styles: heavy and deep atmospheres, broken beats and fat bass movements are part of his signature sound while Provoda will keep the right vibe going through the night.
Sat Oct 19, 10pm, RMB60 presale, RMB80 door. Oil. See event listing. Tickets.
Until Sun, Oct 20: 9th OCT-Loft Jazz Festival @ B10 Live
OCT-Loft becomes Shenzhen’s one-stop jazz shop starting this Friday as the 9th OCT-Loft Jazz Festival gets underway. With at least 16 performances slated over the next 10 days, there’s plenty for music lovers to get excited about. Not big on jazz? That’s all good as you’re also more than likely to hear jams that don't exactly fit the genre.
Until Sun Oct 20, various times, RMB180. B10 Live. See event listing. Tickets.
Wed, Oct 23: Broncho China Tour @ Hou Live

Yes, this one is well past the weekend but afraid we won’t get to it in time for next week. Broncho is headed to Hou Live on Wednesday for an exciting show. The American indie rock band based in Norman, Oklahoma formed in 2010. Churning out thoughtful, nuanced rock and roll with an art school spirit and a punk rock heart since 2010, the band’s fourth album, Bad Behavior, finds them leaning into their strengths for their strongest effort yet.
Wed Oct 23, 8.30pm; RMB150 presale, RMB180 door. Hou Live. See event listing. Tickets.
