We all know the weather in Guangdong is a finicky beast.

This week has been no exception, as anyone who experienced one of the many sudden thunderstorms that took place over the last several days can tell you. (Click here to see a cool time-lapse of the yesterday’s storm in Guangzhou).

Unfortunately, the upcoming weekend will be more of the same. According to Accuweather, Guangzhou is forecasted to have stray thunderstorms on both Saturday and Sunday, while Shenzhen is expected to have thunderstorms in the morning on both days.

But don’t worry, the scorching hot weather will remain, with a high of 33 degrees Celsius in Guangzhou and 32 degrees in Shenzhen. Meanwhile, on Monday Guangzhouers can expect heavy morning rain. Folks in Shenzhen will likely see morning showers on Monday as well.

Got plans this weekend? Sure you do. Be sure bring your umbrella in case one of those scattered thunderstorms sets its sight on you.
