Cinco de Mayo falls on May 5, celebrating the Meixcan army’s victory over French forces during the Franco-Mexican War in 1862. Baia Burger Concept (Shekou)
Catch up on the festivities at Baia Burger’s rooftop bar in Shekou, where thinks will kick off at around 10pm. DJ Ivan Soto will be in charge of the tunes, while revellers can buy one margarita and get one free from 11pm until midnight.

Besame Mucho are rolling out a delicious and super-cheap Mexican menu for Cinco de Mayo. For foodies, you can snag a beans tamale, mole poblano with rice and a dessert for just RMB100. For boozers, grab two margaritas for just RMB100.

Teqo
This Sunday, head over to Teqo, where A.Black DJ will be spinning tunes for the evening. Pay just RMB200 to snag a margarita free flow, as well as taco selections, while Jose Cuervo tequila will be available at a very reasonable price of RMB15 per shot.

Tequila Coyote’s
Fan of Mexican food? Tequila Coyote’s has you covered this holiday, as they are offering an amazing Mexican buffet for just RMB180, with a free welcome margarita. What a deal! Also in attendance will be the amazing dancing group, The Colors of Mexico, while the venue has drafted in a DJ from Hong Kong to play Latin tunes for the evening.

Xpats’
Combing the Star Wars-themed 'May the Forth be with You' with Cinco de Mayo, Xpats’ venues around Shenzhen will be selling bottles of Corona for RMB20 and tequila shots for just RMB10. If you are in the Shekou neighborhood, head over to their Sea World venue and catch live music courtesy of The X-Pirates.
