A vital component in Prague’s underground electronic scene, DJ Schwa arrives in China this week to play sets in Shenzhen and Xi’an. Catch him at Vinylhouse this Thursday, as he serves up everything from house, to acid and electronica tracks for revelers to enjoy.

Described by the venue owners as their biggest show since their one year anniversary, we are also extremely thrilled to be welcoming three fantastic producers to Shenzhen this month. Batu, Bristol-based and owner of Timedance label, was named amongst Mixmag’s top 20 DJs of 2017, while Ploy’s insatiable bongo-based tunes, as on Ramos / Roy’s Rolls, are instant dancefloor crackers. Beijing-raised, London-based object blue, on the other hand, is a woman rising to the top of the global experimental scene at the moment, thanks to fantastic releases on Tobago Tracks and Let’s Go Swimming in 2018.

This fantastic Guangdong-based illustration and comic festival returns for another year, and its first festival in Shenzhen. Focusing on independent creations by local Chinese artists and a smattering of Asian and European artists, Singularity Festival has a well-deserved reputation as being a crucial meeting point for anybody interested in the weird and wonderful world of Asian comics.
