Dog and animal lovers of the world, rejoice! Shenzhen is now home to a pet park. Located in Futian District, Jingtian Beiliujie Community Park will provide an open space for pet owners to frolic and play with their furry friends, according to Shekou Daily.
As stated in a release by the Futian District Urban Management Bureau, some cute training facilities have also been setup for dogs who are keen to enter the next Westminister Dog Show.

That’s visited the area and found that a number of pet owners were already taking advantage of the facilities.
Dogs can relish the prospect of large bone-shaped benches, cute larger than life dog statues, as well as a swath of grassy land for dogs to run and jump and rest their concrete-worn paws.

While the park is set to act as a sanctuary and a meeting point for pet owners the city over, city rules still apply and dogs must be kept on a leash at all times, and owners are required to clean up after their canine companions.

While we have heard some grim stories from other cities in China about dog and pet crackdowns, we are delighted to see the Futian District Urban Management Bureau approach the issue in a constructive manner. The new pet park is the first to open in Shenzhen and one of a number of themed parks set to open in the Jingtian area.
Nearby is Jingtian Beiqijie Community Park, also known as Transportation Science Park, which is another recent opening and features a range of fun transportation-themed props that kids can play with.

Also in the area is a rock-themed park (which we’re sure is great). Stones in the park have been polished for visitors so that they can sit and enjoy the outdoor communal area.

In fact, much of the surrounding area in Jingtian has been planted with colorful flowers and trees, making it a perfect place for a stroll on the weekend.
