Fri, Jan 4: Kotaro Oshio @ A8 Live
Acoustic guitarist Kotaro Oshio has built a reputation on the back of his excellent finger picking and a unique playing technique called nail attack. Much loved in Japan for his beautiful musicianship, Oshio has shared a stage with such legends as BB King. He comes to China to take part in a broad tour of the country.

Sat, Jan 5: DJ Stingray @ Oil
Bandana-clad electro and techno DJ Stingray arrives in Shenzhen, a product of the robust techno scene in Detroit. He is joined by the folks from Hoodoo, AcidChicken Records and more. Stingray has earned plaudits for his spine-shaking music, which came to prominence after he teamed up with such groups as Urban Tribe in the early nineties.

Sat, Jan 5: NILU @ Vinylhouse

Danish deep house DJ NILU arrives in Vinylhouse this weekend, as the venue puts on another awesome free event. Having traveled all over the world playing music, and with appearances at such venues as Chalet Club and Golden Gate in Berlin under his belt, NILU has steadily accumulated a stellar reputation for his diverse range over the years.

Sun, Jan 6: Island Mood @ B10 Live
Having formed in Xi’an all the way back in 2007, Island Mood set out initially to channel the inner ‘island’ or mood that they perceive to be locked away inside every person. Their music is slow, introspective and rhythmic with strong vocals from frontman Liu Bo.
