It’s that time of year again: your chance to vote in the annual That's Food & Drink Awards in Shenzhen, sponsored by FIJI Water!
Today, we’re excited to present to you our nominees for Live Music Venue of the Year.
Shenzhen's reputation as an electronic town is surely warranted, but we here at That's feel that the seaside breeze and hectic lifestyle have instilled something of a jazz spirit of late. On the other hand, you could argue us Southerners love a bit of indie rock, hell, anything with a bit of rhythm is enough to get us grooving.
Now, without further ado, here are our nominees for Live Music Venue of the Year:
To sweeten the deal, we're giving away various free vouchers, valued around RMB200, to a lucky few voters. For a chance to win, send a screenshot showing that you voted to our WeChat account (ThatsShenzhen), along with your name, phone number and address in Chinese.

Our daily flash voting is officially underway and will offer our readers the chance to cast votes directly on our official Shenzhen WeChat account. Different categories will be featured each day on our accounts and the voting will be open for a 48-hour period, during which time account subscribers will be able to vote for their favorite spots directly on WeChat.
The daily WeChat flash votes will be tallied up and awarded on a weighted scale, with 100 votes going to first place, 50 votes to second place and 25 votes to third place. These votes will then be added to the overall total. You will only have 48 hours to vote – so don’t delay!
To find out on which day a particular category will be featured in our flash voting, message the word ‘schedule’ to our WeChat account or stay tuned to thatsmags.com for daily updates.

How can I vote for Outstanding Restaurant of the Year, Outstanding Bar of the Year and Outstanding Club of the Year?
After internal discussion, we’ve decided to open this category up to ALL bars, restaurants and clubs in the city. To cast your vote, simply head over to our website and select the category you wish to vote in. Next, click on the ‘Open voting’ text box to search for your favorite venue in our listings database. Click ‘Vote’ once you’ve made your selection.
We will also be accepting write-in votes for the aforementioned three categories on WeChat. To vote, message our official account ‘[Bar/Club/Restaurant] of the year: [Your Choice]’ and we’ll count it as a write-in vote. One write-in vote per user only.
Can I write-in some of my favorites?
YES! Write-in votes will be accepted for all categories, including our TOP three ones (Outstanding Restaurant of the Year, Outstanding Bar of the Year, Outstanding Club of the Year) and three more (Chef of the Year, Nightlife Personality of the Year and Event of the Year) – just scroll the category page and enter your nominee into the Open Vote Section.
