Thu, Oct 25: My Beloved @ Hou Live

In its short life span thus far, Hou Live has done a stellar job of consistently enticing foreign acts to Shenzhen. This weekend is no different as they welcome Danish post rock group My Beloved. On the back of their fifth album, Echoes over Voices, the Scandinavians are striking out on a five date tour around the country, which will also take in Guangzhou.

Fri, Oct 26: Cream Halloween @ ReBorn755
Having recently been announced as one of the world's top 100 DJs for the second year running, Shanghai-raised Carta hits Shenzhen as part of Cream's Halloween party. Joined by stellar EDM acts R3hab, Sad Cato and Blasterjaxx on the evening, this should be a cracking event with more than enough to keep EDM heads happy.

Fri, Oct 26: NKC & Her Records @ Oil Club
NKC has been making infectious drum and bass music for years now, and has been turning heads in the clubbing scene since at least 2010. He teamed up with Her Records in 2016 and his first release on the label, Hague Basement, was born. He followed that with another stellar release, Tincture, in September of last year, and this weekend he brings his fast-paced, percussive dance to Oil Club. Don't miss it.

Fri, Oct 26: Deer MX @ Brown Sugar Jar (Shekou)
Deer MX, as the name might suggest, are originally from Mexico. They currently reside across the border in Hong Kong, and their hypnotic, psychedelic music has brought them a whole pile of fans in Asia after performing at festivals like Clockenflap and Sonar in Hong Kong, as well as Wake Up Festival in Taiwan and Zandari Fest in Korea.

Sun, Oct 28: Sucker @ Brown Sugar Jar Public House

After releasing five singles in the span of just under a month from July to August, Sucker now bring their fun and bouncy ska-punk on the road. With vocals that sound eerily like Anthony Kiedis' from Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Sucker does an awesome job of incorporating ska' elements, in order to create instantly infectious tunes.
