This month we meet Qiu, the owner of the milk-tea shop Hi Tea. 

How are you feeling today?
Very well! The weather is very good today and this positively influences my mood. 

What is the first thing you thought when you woke up this morning?
I thought about how to best organize my tasks for the day, about what needs to be done and about how the weather might influence my business. 

What is your idea of the perfect day?
One in which I do everything that I want. 

Who is your best customer?
I think every client must be treated in the best possible way. Simply the fact that a customer chooses our place is already a good sign. 

Who is your worst customer?
There are some bad costumers, but as they say ‘every customer is god,’ so… 

Which living person do you most admire? 
My father. He’s helped me a lot with my business and in life. 

When and where were you happiest?
During the four years I spent in Canada, studying at the University of Toronto. 

Which talent would you most like to possess?
I would like have better financial skills. 

What do you consider your greatest achievement?
Opening this shop. 

If you could change one thing about your life, what would it be?
I would like to earn more money! And as for my past, I would like to have studied a bit more. 

What is your most treasured possession?
My relatives and my friends. 

What trait do you most value in a person?
I like a person that is kind-hearted and modest, but above all, I like a person that never harbors evil thoughts. 

What is it that you most dislike?
Liars. 

What is your motto?
‘Be yourself.’ 

What always makes you laugh?
When I have a successful day… at the end of a good day, I’ll always have a smile on my face. 

What’s the most surprising thing that’s happened to you?
When I once bumped into my ex, in completely unpredictable circumstances! 

Which era of Beijing’s history would you most like to have lived in?
I’d like to go back to the year 2000, when housing prices were much lower and the air was cleaner. 

Who is your hero?
Elon Musk is my hero now! Tesla is an amazing company that I believe can realize humanity’s dream of living on another planet.
