Entire Foshan Bus Fleet to Support Mobile Payment by Yearend

Frequent bus riders in Foshan will be happy to know that all public buses in the city will support mobile payment methods by the end of the year.

According to a Foshan Daily report carried by En.foshannews.net, the Foshan City Transportation Bureau released its 2018 public transport plan on May 30, which aims to improve infrastructure, optimize routes used by vehicles and implement an e-payment option, among other upgrades.

The transportation bureau’s plan also discusses the launch of 2,441 electric buses and 290 hydrogen buses, according to Foshan Daily. The city of Foshan plans to decommission 2,092 natural gas buses and 639 diesel buses this year.
