Authorities in Guangdong are offering a RMB1 million reward for information leading to the capture of Cai Luoying, one of the province’s most wanted drug suspects, according to South China Morning Post.

The 29-year-old fugitive is reportedly wanted in connection to the production and distribution of illicit substances, among other crimes.

Police in Lufeng, a county-level city in Guangdong, have been wanting to question Cai for over a year, and, according to Guangzhou Daily, the fugitive is one of Lufeng’s 10 most-wanted drug suspects.

The RMB1 million reward, which was publicized on Monday by Lufeng City Police Department’s official WeChat account, comes after an earlier bounty (a meager RMB50,000) failed to turn up any useful information.

The current bounty is among the highest offered by a Chinese mainland police department and is equivalent to the reward offered last year for information leading to the capture of drug dealer Zheng Sen. Zheng was eventually brought to justice thanks to a helpful tip from an unknown citizen (pictured above), who publicly collected the reward wearing a helmet to conceal his identity.
