7 Bizarre GIFs of Famous Paintings Featuring Pandas

An online artist based out of Shenzhen has gone viral for his imaginative depictions of pandas in iconic pieces of art.

According to GRT Radio, the illustrator, who goes by the name A-Long, had planned on doing the paintings for quite a while, and he is thrilled with all the positive feedback coming his way.

Pandas are a symbol ubiquitous with Chinese identity, and netizens have been overwhelmingly excited by the cute bamboo-eating bears popping up in historical works.

“He is so imaginative and I love his paintings. Chinese giant pandas are born to model and can be easily adapted into so many oil paintings,” said one Weibo user, according to the GRT Radio report.

The illustrator posts each piece as both a normal photo and a GIF. Below are seven of our favorites:

1. Panda Lisa

2. The Roar

3. American Panda

4. Vitruvian Panda

5. The Panda of Venus

6. Creation of Panda

7. Vincent van Panda
