Jonna and Sam's combination of acoustic guitar and voice will be a regular act at MOD for the next few Wednesdays. The duo performs blues- and folk-infused covers, including some fan favorites. There'll also be drink specials on Vedett and house wine.

June 16: PechaKucha Night, Volume #34
PechaKucha is a method of presenting where speakers show 20 slides, each one lasting 20 seconds. The theme of this PechaKucha night is 'ephemeral certitude,' contrasting the eternal with more short-lived experiences. Besides allowing you to address spiritual matters, the price of entry includes one free drink.

June 16: 'Deep in Your Love' DJ Rae at Pepper Club
Rae's combination of live performance and DJing has impressed audiences around the world. Her 2015 collaboration with DJ SKT, 'Take Me Away,' became both a top 20 hit in the UK charts and a club anthem. Come to Pepper before 10pm to see her act for free.

June 17: That's Food and Drink Tasting at the 7th Day
For our next Food and Drink Tasting event, That's is partnering with The 7th Day to offer readers a brunch deal. June 17: Shenzhen's Second White Collar Fight Night
White-collar boxing gives the business, finance and tech workers of the city a venue to throw a few punches while networking and promoting their ventures. Only amateurs have been accepted before going through rigorous training to get them ready for the ring. The last event was a who’s who of Shenzhen, with the second set to be even bigger.

June 17: Mr. C at Demo Club
This British 'pioneer of tech house and acid house' will be performing from 12-2am at the latest addition to Coco Park's nightlife scene, Demo Club. Mr. C is a veteran in the world of house music, and still continues to create danceable beats: his latest album was released just this year. Supporting DJs at the club will play black/deep house as well as dark pop house.

Arius is a duo centered on creating bass music. Since their formation in 2013, they've become one of the hottest bass groups in California, with close to 500,000 fans on Facebook and 300,000 Youtube followers.

Sharam Tayebi is an American DJ who specializes in house music. Having made his name in the underground scene in Washington, D.C., and created several danceable hits, he's set to play in Shenzhen this Saturday.
