June 5-15: '100 Photographers Focus on Canada' at ISNS

The '100 Photographers Focus on Canada' collection was first put together in 2016, with the blessings of both China Daily and Justin Trudeau. To honor the 150th anniversary of Canada's founding and 15 years since International School of Nanshan Shenzhen was started, the collection is being showcased at the school starting this week.

June 8: Electric Wonderland x DJ Thomas Gold

Besides racking up well over 1 million fans on Facebook, Thomas Gold has graced the main stages of Tomorrowland, Ultra Miami, Coachella and EDC Vegas. Now he's bringing his act to Zentral Club, in Hong Kong. Sure, it might not be in Shenzhen, but it is certainly worth the trip.

June 9: Moksi at Club Sector

After being inspired by 90s dubstep and similar, Duo Moksi went on to craft music that's 'a kaleidoscope of screaming leads and bass' plus 'subwoofer-loving drops.' June 10: French Guinguette Party

Guinguette is the antidote to events that take themselves too seriously. Labeling itself 'the unpretentious French party,' Shenzhen's Guinguette events include games, live music and delicious French cuisine, all in an inviting setting. The price of tickets includes unlimited food and drink, including French wines, beer and cocktails.

June 10: Philippine Independence Day at the Terrace

June 10: Priscilla-ism at Shenzhen Bay Sports Center

June 10: Little Wizard at B10 Live

Formed in 2008 in Shaoxing, Little Wizard have recorded and released three EPs, two full length studio album and a remix album. A three-piece post-punk band, their new music has seen them adopt a cleaner sound. Introducing new material at the beginning of 2017, Little Wizard is eager to bring it to live audiences. June 11: I'm Not There Movie Showing

I'm Not There (2007) tells the story of seven characters, each inspired by a different aspect of Bob Dylan's life and work. The star-studded cast includes Cate Blanchett, Christian Bale, Heath Ledger and Richard Gere. Check it out at Magma this weekend.

Participating video artists offer extremely different stories, conveyed by mixing reality and fiction in moving visual images. Experimental, the works delve into the relationship between art and new media in the digital era. Hailing from Iran, Lithuania and the US, the artists backgrounds color theirs works, presenting poetry – through video.
