After a bout of rain in Shenzhen on May 13, those who ventured outside just before dusk were treated to an unexpected surprise: a double rainbow.
As you’d probably expect, netizens were eager to share photos and chime in on the phenomenon. One online user, under the handle @Lethe, wrote: “I was gardening my plants when it suddenly started raining on a sunny day. I opened the window and saw the giant twin rainbows. This is my first time seeing such a whole rainbow, with its bottom completely reaching the ground.”
Even Shenzhen’s traffic authorities got in on the action, posting on WeChat: “The photography contest on WeChat Moments is on. Please post your rainbow pics!”
