May 15-21: 'Viva España' Food Week at InterContinental Shenzhen

The Mercado restaurant at the InterContinental is serving up Spanish-style treats all this week. Offerings include tapas, sangria and other signature foods/drinks from the Mediterranean country.

May 18-21: Tomorrow Festival at B10 Live

Part concert, part lecture, part movie screening, the fourth Tomorrow Festival will rely on experimental music’s past to cast an avant-garde eye to the future. The multiple-day event will host some of the most experimental musicians Shenzhen has ever heard. Those interested can check out the B10 Live site for ticketing and other information.

May 18: That's Food and Drink Tasting at La Maison

May 18: Café Créa Crafts Market Fair

If you have a thing for handmade crafts, here's a setting where you sift through locally produced products for your next big find. Besides cool crafts, you'll also be able to enjoy coffee at this event, organized by French group Shenzhen Bienvenue.

May 18: DJ Saymyname at Club Sector

DJ and producer Saymyname hails from Los Angeles and has made a big impression in the hard trap scene. He played on all stages of the 2016 Electric Daisy Festival and has earned support from the likes of Skrillex and DJ Snake.

May 19: EuroEyes Clinic Grand Opening

May 20: Priscilla Ahn 'Lalala' Tour

After growing up in America, in 2008 Priscilla Ahn began a musical career that has to date involved three albums, collaborations with Tiësto and Cary Brothers, and tours in the US as well as Asia. She'll be in Shenzhen this Saturday. Buy tickets here.

May 20: DJ Curtis at Dazzle Club

Rising star Curtis has already been booked for events like this year's Tomorrowland Festival. Based in Beijing, the Chinese DJ and producer is also set to bring his signature beats down to Shenzhen this weekend.

May 20: Blasterjaxx at Face Club

Dutch group Blasterjaxx, made up of Thom Jongkind and Idir Makhlaf, specializes in house music. They've collaborated with stars including Tiësto, David Guetta and Afrojack. In 2013 and 2014 their single 'Faith' charted well in Netherlands and Sweden, and as of 2015, they ranked a solid #19 in DJ Mag's list of Top 100 DJs.

May 20: Male Dancers at The Terrace

The Terrace is turning around the usual order of club parties by featuring male dancers at their Saturday bash. To up the ante, tables with four or more women can get a free bottle of bubbly.

May 20-June 10: ISZAF Exhibition at Jardin Orange

ISZAF is a community of international artists in Shenzhen that organizes figure drawing sessions every week as well as challenges for artists. The group's first exhibition will take place from May 20 to June 10, and will be hosted at Jardin Orange.

May 21: Organic Dinner & Wine Tasting at AtLife Club

Award-winning winemaker Csaba Malatinszky, who just so happens to be a supplier for England's royal family, will preside over this fancy wine tasting and French dinner. Malatinszky started producing organic wines in 2009, and his vintages continue to be stocked in Michelin-starred restaurants across Europe.
