Guangdong Boy Falls to His Death on 13th Birthday

A 13-year-old boy was found dead on a second-floor balcony of an apartment complex in Zhongshan, Guandong, around 10pm on October 18. The parents told police that it was their child’s birthday and that he hadn't displayed any unusual behavior during the day. 

According to reports, the child’s parents were asleep in their 11th floor apartment when he fell, landing on the balcony of an under-renovation apartment. A medical emergency team failed to resuscitate the boy.

Authorities are investigating the possibility the death was a suicide.
