From October 17-23 World Italian Language Week will be held around the globe, promoting the Italian spoken and written word through conferences, exhibitions, shows and meetings with writers and personalities.
The celebration is an annual event and is organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, the Academy of Crusca and the Swiss Confederation. This year’s theme focuses on the creative industry, titled: ‘Italian and Creativity: brands and costumes, fashion and design.’ Italy’s design sector will be featured, including many brands related to fashion production.
Seizing this occasion, the Consulate General of Italy in Guangzhou, in cooperation with the Triennale di Milano, Guangzhou Library, NABA (Nuova Accademia di Belle Arti di Milano), Istituto Secoli Guangzhou, Guangdong University of Foreign Studies, Sun Yat-Sen University, Guangzhou University and Shenzhen University, will celebrate the 16th edition of Italian Language Week with an extensive program of events, films and exhibitions.
