Savour Festival debuts in Zhuhai this November 2016

The anticipated food festival Savour will make its debut appearance in Zhuhai, at Hengqin Tennis Center, where the top tennis competition WTA Elite Trophy Zhuhai (WETZ) will also be held.

Organized by Zhuhai Huafa Group, WETZ is a singles and doubles competition offering USD2.21million in prize money. It features 11 of the top-ranked singles players along with one wild card; as well as six doubles teams, including two wild card teams playing in a round robin format.0202.jpeg

To offer the audience a unique opportunity to enjoy the taste of famous Michelin restaurants from around the world, Huafa group brings Savour Festival onsite for the first time, which runs in tandem with the matches. The game and Savour will both take place at the Hengqin Tennis Center in Zhuhai.

The Savour event is the only of its kind in Asia and tries to unite the best in food and drink to offer a wide range of culinary experiences. It’s been acclaimed by CNN as one of the world’s best food festivals.

Savour will run November 2–6, with six Michelin restaurant chefs from around the world attending. All chefs will be using local and imported ingredients to create their own signature dishes. To prepare, they have searched for regional and organic ingredients from all over China. Visitors will enjoy a variety of great food at the festival and taste Chinese ingredients being cooked in a new way.

Through the combination of tennis and the food festival, the local government and Huafa group aim to create a unique experience for everyone.
