Ever since our writing contest and subsequent reading event last month, we’ve had our eyes peeled for up-and-coming writers and the events that allow them to share their work.

Luckily for us, we didn’t have to wait long to find one... because tonight is ‘Writers Night’ in Shenzhen! The event is being hailed as the first of its kind in the city and is sure to feature captivating stories and poetry.

The event will host eight writers and their work, among whom you may recall Senzeni Mpofu – the third place winner of the That’s PRD Writing Contest 2016.

The event is being hosted by Ray Hecht, author of the must-read novel South China Morning Blues, and is free to attend.
