How much meat do we need a day? The answer from Lancet, the world's most authoritative medical journal, is 14 grams, the size of two coins. The Eat-Lancet Commission on Food, Planet, Health brings together 37 world-leading scientists from 16 countries to reach a scientific consensus that defines a healthy and sustainable diet. In the beginning of 2019, The Commission is delivering the first full scientific review of what constitutes a healthy diet from a sustainable food system, and which actions can support and speed up food system transformation.
As a country with the world's largest population, the food and health crisis are the top priority of China and we are not lagged behind the world. The 3rd Good Food Summit will be held in Suzhou from August 15 to 17, and every summer, the Good Food Fund from China Biodiversity Conservation and Green Development Foundation is working with the KOLs from around the world to discuss the solution and jointly promote healthy and sustainable food.
