Based on a true story, Pride recounts the efforts of lesbian and gay activists to raise money for families affected by the 1984 coalminer's strike. When The National Union of Mineworkers expressed reluctance in receiving support, the activists take to the small Wales mining village, Onllywyn where an unprecedented alliance found previously unseen success.
The film's screening is supported by ShanghaiPRIDE and will take place at The British Centre. It's free entry, but registration with shanghaipride@gmail.com is required. Make sure to bring your ID/passport with you to the event to get in.
