She recalled how group projects and school trips encouraged collaboration, highlighting that the supportive environment at SCIS helped make stressful situations more manageable.
Ashika shared how she approached her university decision by first understanding her interests and values. Her heightened level of self-awareness, a skill she honed at SCIS, allowed her to focus only on programs that aligned with her goals.
"I chose a program that offered opportunities I was passionate about," she said, emphasizing how important it was for her to find an academic path that matched her aspirations for personal and academic growth.
Noemie reflected on how SCIS helped her embrace diversity, a value that continues to shape her university life.
She shared, "One of my favorite memories at SCIS was definitely the UN Day. It was such a special experience to see everyone express and showcase their cultures, which has shaped my perception of diversity and understanding different cultures."
Thomas shared that his most memorable moments at SCIS were centered around building connections and feeling accepted, whether on China trips with his grade or playing basketball with friends during lunchtime.
"I really miss the team spirit and the friendships formed during activities like these, which made my SCIS experience so special"
Their stories highlighted the challenges of adapting to higher education while reflecting on the profound impact of SCIS’s globally minded community and the academic rigor of the MYP (Middle Years Programme) and International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP)—both of which equipped them with the confidence and resilience needed to navigate university life.
