Recently, the Danish luxury lifestyle audiovisual brand Bang & Olufsen, also known as B&O, launched its latest portable speaker, the Beosound A5. The speaker offers exquisite craftsmanship, design, and elegant sound to meet consumers' dual needs for speaker appearance and functionality. For almost a century, B&O has been rooted in classic design, inheriting a century of historical heritage, and always at the forefront of sound technology and innovation.
From April 27th to May 1st, B&O hosted a new product launch and public exhibition event with the theme "Music's next move" on Wu Kang Road, a cultural street renowned for its condensed modern Shanghai history. The event allowed attendees to witness many rare historical classic works from B&O and experience the sound system's materials, craftsmanship, and design process at the Beosound A5 design workshop. Furthermore, attendees could enjoy the beautiful music and participate in outdoor flower camping, antique bird house play, or take photos at a flower-filled market, experiencing the wonderful musical rhythm of B&O.
The Beosound A5 was designed in collaboration with the GamFratesi studio. The speaker inherits B&O's signature immersive sound, exquisite craftsmanship, and durability, while designers infused unique design charm by integrating different design cultures from Southern and Northern Europe. The speaker is compact, lightweight, and portable, making it perfect for on-the-go use.
At the event, B&O also showcased many classic works that have defied people's imaginations, such as the Beogram 4000 and Beosound 9000. These works have undergone historical changes over the past century but continue to shine with brilliance today.
The event's location, Wu Kang Road, also known as Fu Kaison Road, is one of Shanghai's cultural streets with a century of history. The unique cultural landscape that blends modern and contemporary history and Eastern and Western cultures has captivated countless people over the years. This makes it the perfect location for B&O, with nearly a century of brand heritage, to showcase their latest product and share their vision for the future of music.
