It's all happening at Portman’s restaurant at The Portman Ritz-Carlton, Shanghai, which has recently launched a semi-buffet lunch special on both weekdays and weekends, a new a la carte dinner menu, free flow drink packages for both lunch and dinner, plus a snack package that runs late afternoon into evening.

Semi-Buffet Lunch Special
Daily 12-2.30pm
Portman’s is now offering a Weekday Semi-Buffet Lunch Special (RMB298/adults, RMB149/kids) that includes full access to the buffet spread of appetizers, entrées, snacks and desserts, plus one main of your choosing.
Select from signature dishes like Fusion Beef Tortellini in a creamy spinach sauce.
Grilled Chicken Diavolo with romanesco and black pepper sauce.
Pan-Fried Trout with roasted potatoes and a tomato, onion and basil salsa.
Seared King Prawns with Italian gremolata (RMB60 extra), and so much more!
The buffet itself spans East to West with hot dishes, with everything from Hong Kong Soya Chicken and Fried Noodles to Baked Ziti to Shanghainese inspired Dim Sum – Xiaolongbao, Pork Buns and Egg Veggie Dumplings.
There’s also an expansive Salad Station, Fruit Bar, Mini Pizza and Panini Station, as well as Sukiyaki Soup selections.
Plus, diners can peruse the Seafood Bar, including Fresh River Shrimp, Green Mussels, Clams and Sea Snails.
All produce used throughout the buffet is fresh, organic and handpicked by their certified partner, Bio Farm.
Don’t forget dessert – there’s a smattering of Sweet Bites, Cakes, Buns, Puddings and even a Chocolate Fountain!
Head along on Saturday and Sunday and the Weekend Semi-Buffet Lunch RMB388 (RMB194 for kids) offers more premium dishes like Seafood Spaghetti Laksa and Sambal Ocean Trout.
On top of the buffet, Portman’s also has a stellar Free Flow Lunch Drinks Deal (RMB138) – including Beer, Red & White Wine, Juice, Soda, Coffee and Tea.

Portman’s has also brought back their favorite Southeast Asian and Mediterranean fusion dishes every night for dinner.
With each dish curated by Executive Chef Chia Jue Xin and Executive Sous Chef Davide Mastrangeli, treat yourself to the likes of Pan Seared Foie Gras, Beef Tartare, Tom Yum Risotto and Char Siu Pork Ribs.

The Ritz Bar & Lounge Snack Menu
Daily 5.30-10.30pm
One of Shanghai’s most beloved places to meet, The Ritz Bar & Lounge recently rolled out a Japanese-inspired snack menu to be enjoyed daily from late afternoon into evening.
Served in mid-size portions, diners can enjoy a wide variety of Japanese delights by Sous Chef Felix Liu, who has worked in established Japanese restaurants for more than 10 years.
