Dec 30, Jan 6: Free-Flow Barbecue Mondays at JUJU

We already like JUJU (see review here), so imagine our excitement to hear they are dropping the already fair prices on Mondays. That's why we plan to start the week right with a reduced-priced free-flow barbecue. Get six cuts of meat and refillable sides for RMB198 (regular price is RMB688). Dec 30: Twelve Starry Nights with Grey Goose

Tonight is the last of Twelve Starry Nights with Grey Goose at The Nest. Each night, a new and uniquely crafted cocktail for your enjoyment was featured for your enjoyment. Go check out the last cocktail and pair your tipples with Chef Freddy's exciting winter menu.

Jan 1: New Year's Day Recovery

It's never too soon to think about your post-NYE recovery meal. Tacolicious will be ready with brunch tacos when you are ready to venture back out into the world. If its hair of the dog that you need, sparkling wine, mimosas, frozen margaritas and beer are on free-flow from noon-3pm for RMB150. There's also free chips and salsa from noon-6pm and michelada deals until closing time.

After the holiday festivities, its time for a laid back market day. At Jiashan Market, everything all the artisanal food and drinks you could want are on hand –  plus plenty of goodies to fill your pantry at home.

Jan 4-5: Green Escape Night Market

The Kerry Jing'an closes Anyi Lu to traffic every weekend for an outdoor market called Green Escape. Bundle up and get ready to enjoy wares from over 50 vendors including flowers, Argentinian barbecue, Dutch french fries, DODU rotisserie chicken and healthy meals from Hunter Gatherer. They even have The Odd Couple cocktails.

Jan 5: Banh Mi Sunday Groove Session

This Sunday groove session is what happens when a group of banh mi loving friends get together at a record shop. Hit up The Melting Pot and get ready to roll as the flavors of Saigon met Yongjia Lu. Classic cha lua, gio thu and liver pate (RMB58) banh mi and groovy tunes via DJ Rochaos (and The Melting Pot owner) are on offer from 3-7pm – show up before the sandwiches sell out though!

Jan 5: Farm-to-Table Winter Dinner

Kaixin Cooking and Clem Health present an eight-course tasting menu of seasonal, creative Chinese and Mediterranean fusion dishes. They are partnering with Vert City Farm and Epermarket to bring organic, farm-fresh ingredients directly from the farm to your dinner plate. Expect mala fava bean falafel, hongshao braised beef short rib, mapo walnut bolognese and more.

Jan 5: Sunday Fondue Special at Abbey Road

There are days when only hot cheese can alleviate the winter gloom. Abbey Road comes to the rescue with a 400g Swiss fondue pot, sausage platter, salad and bottle of Chardonnay for just RMB428. That should serve two normal people or one starving glutton.
