Nov 14-16: New SHAKE City VI: The ’90s R&B Concert

Shanghai's livest ’90s R&B party returns for another dose of new jack swing and hip hop soul for the dancefloor. Courtney Knott, Kevin Maxim, and Shake's six-piece band take it back to back in the day with the music of TLC, Jade, Janet, Ginuwine, The Neptunes and more. Dress Code: Supa Dupa Fly.

Nov 15: Poetry in Shorts/Plastic

Local band Poetry in Shorts link up with newly minted Maybe Mars outfit Plastic for an evening of debauchery. Poetry in Shorts are made up of members from legendary Shanghai outfit Dirty Fingers, while Plastic are based out of Kunming and have been turning heads on the east coast with some excellent live shows.

Nov 15: Motorbike Maximum Rock 'n' Soul

From the boys in the Shanghai Soul Club — DJs Sacco and Baron Van West — comes a night of ballsy rock and soul delivered exclusively on wax. These selectors draw from everything including vintage surf sounds and nuggets-era scorchers (and children thereof) to power pop… to, of course, to that good ole punk ’n’ soul. Turn up, tune in, drop out, as they say. Great night for people looking for deeper wax cuts delivered at unsafe volumes.

Nov 15: Antidote Present Suzi Analogue

Suzi Analogue is a rarity within modern-day electronic music: a prolific black woman singer, songwriter, beatmaker and creator of Never Normal Records who draws from house, footwork, rap, reggae and film to make conceptual music that amplifies her special personal stories.

Nov 15-16: Bar Rouge 15th Anniversary

Celebrating 15 years of serving the people of Shanghai delicious drinks and delightful nightlife vibes, Bar Rouge is putting on an anniversary bonanza this month, taking place over five days. Party all evening from dusk till dawn as they kick off this week-long anniversary celebration.

Nov 16: Hologram Dreams 全息梦境 Presents Airbear

Hologram Dreams presents a night of Italo disco, synth pop, Chicago house, city pop, with 2020's club trax and anime visuals dripping from the walls. Headlining the night is Seoul's DJ Airbear, known for dropping rare gems in his sets for Red Light Radio, NTS Radio, and Boiler Room or DJing alongside Hunee and Young Marco. Warmup by Velvet Robot, resident of the long-running and much-loved Synth Crush! and Discosmic Adventure parties.
