Nov 6: Miércoles Calientes

Slink into sexy tapas bar Tomatito for a special edition of their popular Miércoles Calientes night. This Wednesday, The Good Food People and Finca Torremilanos have teamed up to bring special guest Vincente Peñalba Lopez for a biodynamic wine dinner.

Nov 7-9: Around The World with Danyi Gao: Cuba

For the fourth edition of Shake's supper club, chef Danyi Gao is taking us to Cuba – with a five-course dinner followed by live funk, soul and Latin music. The feast involves ensalada de pulpo, sopa de pollo, mojo lobster, ropa vieja and chocolate tres leches. For drinks, Colin Tait curated a menu of classic Cuban cocktails including Cancha and Hotel Nacional. And to finish the night, Shake's six-piece band and the-one-and-only Courtney Knott bring you three sets of funk and tropical vibes.

Nov 7: BBQ Thursday at CAGES Bar & Sports

Get your reservations in, because Cages only does barbecue once a week. Leave the office early as Cages rolls out its southern style BBQ menu from 5pm. Get there early because it's first-come, first serve. Get ready for a delectable selection of smoked meats, sides and sauces.

Nov 8: Stone Brewing Beer & Strictly Cookies

Back by popular demand, Stone Brewing and Strictly Cookies are ditching the milk again this Friday, November 8 for a beer and cookie pairing, available all day at the Stone Brewing Tap Room. For RMB158, enjoy four delicious cookies paired with four unique Stone beers.

Nov 9-10: Moka Bros Tat-TWO Anniversary party

Moka Bros is celebrating their second birthday with a live tattoo party on November 9-10. From 11am-6pm they’ll have master tattoo artists Noodle and Caca from I-Tattoo joining to tattoo 24 original designs. Stop by Moka Bros Shanghai next week to check out the new wall art. The new artwork (debuting at the end of this week) will showcase the 24 original tattoo designs from artists Noodle and Caca. There will also be a DJ set during the two-day festivities, with happy hour all day.

Nov 10: Coconut Battle

In order to raise awareness of coconut culture Gre3n are bringing together folks from the Shanghai F&B community for an epic coconut battle. Chefs and mixologists will explore and use their creativity for a coconut overload. Selected guests will be able to influence the battle, while judges will pick out winners on the day.

Nov 12: Hairy Crab Feast

Ever wondered why Shanghai goes crab crazy two months out of the year? Find out why, and also discover the reasons Tang Dynasty poets immortalized these crabs in verse millennia ago with this hairy crab feast. This tour showcases the delicacy in a local, authentic setting. You'll walk through the streets of Shanghai's Old Town, an area that is currently disappearing lane by lane, and sample several classic hairy crab dishes, including wontons in hairy crab broth, crab roe lion's head meatballs and more. You’ll also learn the multi-step process to cracking open the crab, and discover the reason why you should pair it with plenty of huangjiu (Chinese brandy).
