Martial arts and modern dance might seem entirely different, but they actually share many of the same qualities. Through the Martial Dance performance, Chinese martial arts are shown to the world through the medium of modern dance, with the aim of passing on, developing, innovating and promoting a unique aspect of Eastern cultural identity.
