Bar Rouge brings you German-born DJ and Producer Tujamo, for a one-night-only set, to play infectious dance music that will ignite the dance floor.

Jul 19: Lil Ting Little Tour

Influential bilingual rapper MC Tingbudong has been connected to the Chinese music scene for more than 10 years, since initially coming to Beijing in 2008 on a Fullbright scholarship. This month, he has returned to China for a brief tour up and down the country. He's appearing with the excellent Taiwan beatmaker Eddie Lu in LOFAS and will perform tracks from his upcoming Chinese-language EP.

Jul 20: Cyndi Wang

Come see world-renowned Taiwanese popstar and actress, Cyndi Wang, for one night only in Shanghai, on the back of her latest studio album release. The stylistic and visual quality of this tour is set to blow fans of the much-loved singer away.

Jul 20: Love Bang: Garbagecrunk Freakathon

Love Bang dips back into the new Elevator for a night of club tracks, hip hop, footwork, industrial and raw sounds to make you thrash in the dark. Headlining the night is one of China's most exciting young producers, GG Lobster from Hangzhou. He'll be joined by Vorbi, Elf and Heatwolves on the evening. Grab your best socks and make sure you don't miss out on this one. Anyone who brings their dad can get in for free, but you have to prove it.

Jul 20: Amazing Show

Amazing Show are unique in the Taiwan music scene for making their own instruments, with which they compose, perform and record their music. Their 2019 single ‘挡一根’ temporarily sat at the top of the charts on major music streaming platforms. Most notably, it gained millions of views on YouTube, which is pretty epic for an independent band of their kind.

After a long stint in China’s underground hip hop scene, Gai finally broke out into the mainstream after his appearance on the popular reality TV show, The Rap of China. After PG One and Gai shared the spoils on the TV show, hip hop culture in China momentarily came under fire, with both PG One and Gai coming under fire. Nonetheless, Gai remains one of China's most recognizable MCs. Catch him as he comes to Shanghai this weekend.

Jul 21: Wasted Laika

One of the most exciting young bands in Beijing right now, Wasted Laika take their punk aesthetic on the road this month after the release of their most recent EP. Expect a high octane, messy performance from these guys at Yuyintang Park this weekend.

Jul 21: Theory of Convergence

Catch Theory of Convergence this weekend as they launch their excellent album, Default Beings, at LOFAS. Combining elements of hard rock with experimental song structures, the album is a gorgeous, heavy and melodic piece of work.
