You might remember Taste Collective as the folks behind last year’s insanely tasty donut pop-up Happy Ending. This time around they’ve partnered up with Bird+Bitter’s outgoing chef, Chris Zhu for some burgers gone wild.
Just in time for America’s Independence Day, Two Hands Burgers are coming to the masses for two nights only. Nothing says summer celebration like good food and refreshing drinks tinged with a dose of good ole American nostalgia and a dash of Shanghai inspiration.
We’re talking classic smashed beef burgers doused with cheese, onions, pickles and smash sauce on a potato bun. And because they are serious that number comes in double and double double sizes.
Then there’s the C.F.C. (as in Chris’ fried chicken) whereby mouth-watering (literally koushuiji, dudes) chicken is battered and sizzled in oil then dressed with pickled celtuce and hot pot sauce. It’s on a charcoal brioche bun making this one perfect for the #insta.

Bun adverse? Plop your patties into a bowl of soy sauce buttered rice, shredded iceberg, scallions and pickles for RMB10 extra. Vegetarians are welcome to get in on the action by swapping out animal protein for a tempura tofu steak.
Since, it’s a celebration, fill up your throat and wash down your chows with a choice of craft beers by Firestone Walker, whiskey highballs with “America’s First Spirit” Laird’s Applejack, natural wines by Wine SNOB or craft sodas by Capi.
The grand finale is a ‘Berried in Brownie’ sundae featuring gooey brownie, strawberry ice cream, raspberry coulis and rainbow sprinkles. Come on! We said rainbow sprinkles. How can you resist?
The magic starts from 7pm tonight.
