That's Shanghai takes a look at some of the best upcoming F&B events

Jun 24-30: Negroni Week: Cheers for Charity

The quintessential Italian cocktail, a Negroni combines the flavors of gin, vermouth and Campari; amalgamating in a boozy aperitif. And what better way is there to sample this fine continental concoction than knowing the more you drink, the more money is going to charity! Cloud 9 is kindly donating a percentage of each Negroni sale throughout the week, so you’ll be excused for having one too many. Much more fun than doing a marathon in fancy dress, make sure you do your bit.

Jun 24-30, 5pm-late. RMB88 per glass. Cloud 9See event listing.

Jun 24-30: Negroni Week at Bitter

More Negronis! Unlike Bond’s vodka martini, a proper Negroni is stirred, not shaken. Bitter is hosting a week of special deals dedicated to the cocktail, allowing guests to sample Italy’s best export since Michelangelo – not the Ninja Turtle. This week is the internationally recognised Negroni Week, so don those festive Italian jumpers and let Negroni’s Father Christmas whisk you away for an amaro-infused celebration.

Jun 24-30, 8am-late. RMB299. Bitter. See event listing.

Jun 27: Stone Brewing Ultimate Beer & Cigar Dinner

"I drink a great deal. I sleep a little, and I smoke cigar after cigar. That is why I am in 200% form” – Winston Churchill. Stone Brewing combines a scrumptious four-course meal with a complex variety of beers while the aromas of caramel and oak linger in the air. Enjoy two cigars, six beers and a mouth-watering dinner this Thursday to make sure you’re on 200% form!

Jun 27, 6.30pm-late. RMB888. Stone Brewing Tap Room. See event listing.

Jun 27: Roast Dinner at The Blind Pig Bourbon and Smokehouse

Whilst the Pig in the venue’s name may be blind, the chefs certainly aren’t, as they have quite the eye for cooking up absolute treats. The monthly meal pays homage to the perfect roast dinner, as the crisp-skinned roast suckling pig and pork belly porchetta serve up the perfect solution for all you home-sick expats.

Jun 27, 7pm-10pm. RMB88-RMB138. The Blind Pig Bourbon and Smokehouse. See event listing.

Jun 28: June Shanghai Supperclub

Starting at 5.30pm, some of the hottest chefs in town will be in Found 158 competing for the ultimate glory. Gordon Ramsay was unavailable, so judging will be That’s Shanghai’s very own Ned Kelly, Rachel Gouk (Nomfluence) and Camden Hauge (Social Supply, Bird + Bitter, Egg).
