This Wednesday, Spread the Bagel (STB) founder Christine Asuncion teased a collaboration with CinnaSwirl on her WeChat Moments. After confirming with both Asuncion and CinnaSwirl's Jared Turner, we happily report that the two brands have a new bakery and deli concept scheduled to open on Friday, June 14.
The match makes sense, as both were founded in 2011 and came up together to become Shanghai F&B fixtures. As they put it, “both CinnaSwirl and STB thought that if they could bring both brands together under one roof, then perhaps that might help make the world a better place.”

STB will be moving into CinnaSwirl's existing Yuyuan Lu store which opened in November 2014. Together the duo will provide breakfast, lunch, snack, dinner, and dessert for squashing sweet and savory cravings with the utmost convenience.
In honor of the new store, STB is launching three sandwiches: the ‘Tribeca Trifecta,’ tobiko salmon on a squid-ink umami bagel and the fire chicken (aka turkey) BLT.

In addition to their beloved cinnamon rolls and cinnamon roll ice cream, CinnaSwirl is dropping ‘Chocoruhm Cream,’ grapefruit sorbet and ‘After-Eight’ mint chocolate flavors.

In July 2018, STB moved to a pop-up shop on Xiangyang Lu at Gracie's/Al's Diner when their former Nanchang Lu digs – just one block away – shuttered suddenly due to city improvements. While the Jing'an shop is in progress, you can still satisfy your bagel needs there, but you will have to wait a week for your cinnamon roll fix as the Pudong CinnaSwirl closed at the end of February.
