May 30: Roast Dinner at The Blind Pig

We know you are working hard on that beach body and all but give yourself a break and hit up The Blind Pig's monthly Roast Dinner Buffet this Thursday. Expect a full spread starting with rolled pork belly and roast beef plus all the fixings, with the option to start the weekend early with a three-hour free flow beer and house spirits. Space is limited, so book your seats now.

May 30: Craftsnob – Italian Craft Beer Tasting

Attention craft beer fans! Funkadeli is bringing a selection of eight Italian craft brews from four different breweries for your drinking pleasure. Whether you've always wanted to explore Italian birra or are just searching for any excuse to drink beer, this full tasting flight with optional toast pairings (we see you porchetta, scamorza and mushroom) is exactly what you need.

May 30: Fiesta y Ginebra en La Social

Shanghai's own rare eastern craft gin is taking over at their favorite Shanghai bar, La Social. The Peddlers gin team have prepared a range of refreshing craft gin cocktails to kickstart the social lubrication and get you shaking it on the dance floor.

May 31: Democrats Abroad Happy Hour

Get down with your multi-tasking self by adding a side of politics to your regularly scheduled happy hour with Democrats Abroad at The Hop Project. Learn how you can make your voice heard back home in advance of the 2020 election and discuss women's health rights in the U.S. Drink deals last until 10pm.

May 31-Jun 2: World Beer Tour China - Shanghai 2019

World Beer Tour China - Shanghai (WBC) is an annual extravaganza for beer lovers with hard-to-find specialty craft brews and other favorites on offer from over 30 international breweries. We plan to hit the Stillwater and Voodoo booths pretty hard.The three-day festival will also feature over 20 artisanal food vendors, live music, DJs, games and more.

May 31-Jun 3: The Piazza Market at Jing An Kerry Center

Who says open-air markets are just for the weekend? This four-day market goes from Thursday to Monday and will be held on the South Piazza of Jing An Kerry Center. Goodies come courtesy of local vendors such as Joe's PIzza, Gelato Dal Cuore, Pie Bird, O'Mills Bakery and more.

Jun 1: Pizzathon

Shanghai's first Pizzathon is the marquee event at the Jing An Kerry Center's Piazza Market. Featuring New York slices courtesy of Joe’s Pizza and sponsored by BrewDog Craft Beer, this pizza-eating contest will be raising money for the Shanghai Food Bank. There are only a few team spots left, but that also means that the team fee has been reduced to RMB500. Just remember, it's for charity so donate if you can! Looky-loos are welcome to enjoy the food and drink deals as they cheer on the brave competitors.

Jun 1: La Festa Della Republica at The Fellas

This Saturday celebrate Italian National Day on The Fellas Terrace with cocktails and traditional dishes. They will have a DJ plus chef Andrea Rano will be handing out free samples of spaghetti throughout the night because the only thing better than spaghetti is free spaghetti, capiche?

Jun 1: Oyster Shuck Off – Bloc Party

The Cannery is joining forces with the Oysterlicious team to combine their popular Bloc Party with the 2019 China Oyster Fest Shuck Off. That means a shucking competition, shuck 'n' suck competition, shellfish boil, oyster bars and other seafood-focused offerings plus the usual cool tunes, drinks and fun.

Jun 1: La Maison Farmers' Market

La Maison's farmer's market is back this weekend with vegetables from Goma Greens and local artisanal products. Bring your friends, kids and/or pets for a fun day out, and remember to bring your own eco-friendly bags to take your goodies home, because they will not be using plastic.

Jun 2: Oyster Champion Brunch

If you don't get your fill of oysters at The Cannery on Saturday, the Shuck Off fun continues with an Oyster champion brunch at Pentalounge. In addition to the regular buffet spread, oysters will be on offer for RMB99 for a half dozen. Real shellfish lovers can take advantage of shucking lessons and oyster 101.

Jun 7: Rooftop Aperitivo at Bread Etc.

Take advantage of a Friday off by chilling on the gorgeous terrace at Bread Etc. Cocktails come courtesy of Jell & Co. via their Prosecco on Wheels cart so round up your friends and enjoy the warm breeze, finger foods and bubbles aplenty.

Jun 7-9: Tacolicious Dragon Boat Weekend

Those taco wizards over at Tacolicious are thinking ahead and already have their Dragon Boat Festival deals ready to go. Risk brain freeze for the bargain price of RMB40 per frozen margarita all day on Friday. There will also be happy hours from noon-3pm and again from 6-7pm on Saturday, as well as their famous Sunday brunch tacos (RMB40/two) from noon-3pm with a DJ on the terrace from 3-6pm for maximum fun.
