All-you-can-eat buffet meals and sophisticated gourmet delicacies do not always go hand-in-hand. Luckily, VUE Restaurant has rescued brunch with their impressive, interactive spread, so let go of any preconceived notions and roll out of bed to savor the most important meal of the weekend with their array of delicious signatures accompanied by free-flowing Perrier Jouёt Champagne.

What makes this brunch special? It’s the nine cooking stations where food is prepared live throughout the restaurant in addition to cold selections, seafood and desserts that are served in buffet-style.

Load up on an appetizer spread that includes fresh salads and a cheese board, before turning to the seafood station, where you can expect fresh-shucked oysters, Boston lobster, king prawns and more.

If you like lobster bisque, you are sure to appreciate their indulgent version. Beginning with a rich stock – made by simmering Boston lobster shells – that is enriched with warm cream, the creamy soup is packed with seafood flavor.

When it’s time for mains, you can’t miss the signature ‘aux sarment.’ This longstanding hotel signature has been added to the brunch menu, so you can enjoy the rib-eye beef grilled on dry vine shoots served with freshly chopped shallots and sea salt. This is a century-old preparation from the southwest of France that imparts a unique smokiness to the meat that takes it to the next level of taste.

Desserts ensure a sweet ending to the feast, but don’t rush to the end because the breath-taking views showcasing both sides of the Huangpu River are worth hanging around. If you’ve had a bit too much of the bubby, move on to wine, beer, coffee, tea or fresh juice while you relax in this ideal setting. You have from 11.30am to 3pm to soak it all in.

At RMB658 (including free-flow wine, beer, juice, coffee and tea) per person or RMB788 with the addition of free-flow flow Perrier Jouёt Champagne (plus 15% service charge), consider this for Sunday brunch needs.
