May 15: Stone Beer University on Barrel-Aged Beers

If you like drinking beer, you’ll love drinking beer infused with more booze. At the fifth edition of Stone Beer University, learn about the history, benefits and styles of barrel-aging used around the world. Sip six different barrel-aged brews (five-ounce pours) for RMB188, covering everything from Bourbon Barrel-Aged Imperial Russian Stouts to Imperial Saisons with Peaches. Sign up online using the QR code to secure a spot ahead of time or purchase tickets directly at the Tap Room. Beer nerds and noobs alike are welcome.

May 15: Jason Mraz

Multiple Grammy Award winning artist Jason Mraz is bringing his Good Vibes Tour to Shanghai. Mraz came onto the scene in the early-2000s and quickly became known for his soulful folk-pop. Throughout his career, Mraz has earned numerous platinum certifications for his various releases, made pop history with his record-breaking singles, ‘I’m Yours’ and ‘I Won’t Give Up,’ won two Grammy Awards, received the prestigious Songwriter Hall of Fame Hal David Award, and sold out amphitheaters and arenas across the globe. He’s also become known for his positive message and upbeat tunes and humorous live shows.

May 15: Come Correct Hip Hop Night

May 17: Vitalic at Bar Rouge:

Shanghai welcomes French producer Vitalic for a live set that promises to shake up the dance floor and transform Bar Rouge into a space of untamed beats, body shaking tunes and powerful melodies. May 17: Lorenzo Antinori Guest Shift

Coming from the Four Seasons Hotel Hong Kong is beverage ambassador, Lorenzo Antinori. The Italian bartender began his tenure at the Four Seasons in Seoul where he led Charles H. bar to spots on the World's and Asia's 50 Best Bars in its first year of operation. Meet him and taste his creations at the Four Seasons Pudong for one-night-only.

May 17: Timber Timbre

Canadian freak-folk and psychedelic-folk music group Timber Timbre is coming to perform in Shanghai as part of their China 2019 Tour. Hailing from Toronto, the mastermind behind the band is Taylor Kirk. The frontman has a powerful, arresting-veering-on-creepy presence on stage, with theatrical gestures counterbalanced with restrained, deep and smooth vocals to create their signature raggedy, swampy blues sound that seems to ascend from an alternate universe.

May 17: Daya

Daya – which means ‘compassion’ in Sanskrit – started playing the piano at age 3. By the time she was 11, she was proficient in piano, guitar, the sax and even the ukulele. The 20-year-old Grammy award winning songstress first started making waves in the music scene after the release of her eponymous EP in 2015. The EP received all sorts of attention and included major hits such as ‘Hide Away.’

May 17: Hologram Dreams

“A voyage from funk into the future…” DJs Heatwolves and friends are back to take Dada’s dancefloor on a hyperloop journey from city pop, Italo disco and Chicago house into new wave, electro and cybernetic madness. May 18-19: Sound of Spring
It’s that time of year again where Urban Family and That’s Shanghai will take over Green City in Jinqiao for our annual Sound of Spring festival. This year’s event will be held this weekend from May 18-19, and will be packed with all sorts of activities from music to luxury camping.
