UPDATE: Popular Grocery Delivery Service Fields Abruptly Shuts Down

UPDATE (Friday, April 19, 2019 at 1.51pm CST): We reached out to the Fields team, who confirmed the shutdown. A notice has also been posted to their official WeChat account.

Sorry Shanghai foodies, but the popular grocery delivery service Fields has abruptly decided to close down. Unfortunately, it doesn't look like the company plans to reopen. 

According to a brief statement posted to their website, the company will no longer fill orders starting today, Friday April 19. 

Here's what we know so far:
