That's Shanghai takes a look at the best nightlife events on this weekend:
Apr 4: Minimalist

The three-day weekend is upon us which means you've got no (or less of an) excuse for staying in tonight. First on the list is another Minimalist session at Dada. Matyla, nmlss and Will A are back for another night of house, techno and acid house.
Apr 4, 9pm, no cover. Dada, see event listing.
Apr 4: Galaxian

Next on the list is ALL bringing in a live show from Galaxian (not Daft Punk). They say he's "redefining sonic parameters" which sounds as cool as it does confusing. If you're looking to dance to something a little different, this is a surefire bet for the night.
Apr 4, 9pm, RMB80. ALL Club, see event listing.
Apr 4-6: Roll Fever

Skate your way through the weekend at RIINK and get some free wheels when you buy yo'self (or someone else) a drink. They've got three different DJs and a lot of colorful lights to keep it, well, lit. Whoever said disco was dead clearly hasn't been over to Dapu Lu recently.
Apr 4-6, 8pm, no cover. RIINK, see event listing.
Apr 5: Corrado Bucci
Flyer courtesy of the promoter
Italian DJ Corrado Bucci is kicking off the month by taking to the decks at Dada, where he'll be bringing the house vibes hard.
Apr 5, 9pm, RMB50. Dada, see event listing.
Apr 9: DJ Hokuto
Flyer courtesy of the promoter
This DJ from Japan is best known for playing to crowds, so if you're over in Found and fancy a little attention from the man makin' the music, you might want to head here (we just mean he's crowd oriented, not like, sexual stuff or anything). With a strong support line up from DJ Caution and MIIIA it should be a fun time.
Apr 5, 9pm, RMB80 pre-sale, RMB100 door. 44KW, see event listing.
Apr 5: Lunice
Flyer courtesy of the promoter
The Canadian producer and DJ has been fusing dance music and hip hop since the late 2000s. Having worked with the likes of Kanye West and Hudon Mohawke, he's known as an architect of trap and is comin' here for a heavy ass show.
Apr 5, 10pm, no cover. Le Baron, see event listing.
Apr 5: Bass Station Vol. 2
Flyer courtesy of the promoter
Oh boy. It's a bass party. At Arkham. Geeeeeeeeeeeeeeet ready to bounce or bob or however you dance to this kinda stuff. NONSVCH and SIHK are makin' it happen.
Apr 5, 10pm, RMB100 pre-sale, RMB140 door. Arkham, see event listing.
Apr 5: Mix Mag Pres. Art Department
Flyer courtesy of the promoter
Having started off as a collaborative project, Art Department is not helmed solely by Canadian Johnny White. He's scored shout outs from iTunes and Beatport making him another decent choice for the 5th (because you've got plenty).
Apr 5, 10pm, RMB150 early bird, RMB200 pre-sale, RMB250 door. Celia, see event listing, buy tickets.
Apr 6: Rooftop Party Season Opening
Flyer courtesy of the promoter
Today might be a little gloomy weather wise, but we've got high hopes for the weekend and Alter's season opener Saturday. Over at Tai Koo Hui you'll find Allan Marshall, Blissed out, Leftfield Avenue and more gearin' up for warmer days.
Apr 6, 2pm-8pm, RMB70 pre-sale (includes one drink), RMB100 door (includes one drink). Seul&SEUL, see event listing, buy tickets.
Apr 6: Robedoor
Flyer courtesy of the promoter
LA deep-dream doomsayers Robedoor embark on their inaugural China tour in April 2019 and are coming to Shanghai. The prodigious drone duo of Britt Brown (founder of seminal American DIY weirdo network Not Not Fun Records) and Alex Brown have received the smelted metal feedback loops pool & congeal on their latest full-length release, New Age Sewage, for about 24 months now; its overripe and ready to be served cold. Catch them mid-ritual in Beijing, Shanghai, Hangzhou, Yiwu, Guangzhou, Shenzhen and Hong Kong.
Apr 6, 9pm, RMB80. Yuyintang, see event listing.
