Apr 5: Shake x Our/New York Vodka Cocktail Launch

Shake's got a new cocktail menu (created by Colin Tait) in collaboration with Our/New York Vodka inspired by dreams and the '80s. The launch party features live funk and soul from Courtney Knott and the Shanghai Sheiks.

Apr 5: Shanghai Love Cloud Monster IPA Debut at The Rooster

We're all adults here, which means that we're mostly convinced by now that there are no monsters hiding under our beds. They're over at The Rooster, and they're ready to party!

This Friday, Apr 5, The Rooster will be debuting Shanghai Love's newest addition to its lineup, The Cloud Monster, a Hazy IPA with 6.1 percent ABV. Swing by to be one of the first to taste the juicy, hoppy, and silky smoothness of this new brew. Indulge for only RMB45 a pint, and if you're really feeling like a good time, The Rooster will be giving away a special Shanghai Love T-Shirt for anyone who drinks five!

Apr 6: Hot Sake Tasting with Sake DJ Tsukétarō

Atsukan means mulled or hot sake, which is one of the most traditional ways to enjoy the Japanese spirit. Master of atsukan 'Sake DJ; Tsukétarō is in town from Japan to host a tasting session at Xime. A selection of six sakes has been chosen to fit the springtime theme. Give them a try and find out everything you ever wanted to know about optimal serving temperature, heating vessels and unique pairings.

Apr 6: Taco Crawl

Join Taco Crawl II for taco innovation at Tacolicious, good times at Cantina Agave, street party vibes with La Coyota and Pocho Social Club, Southern-style tacos at Cages and an Al Pastor slice at Homeslice at this sizzling event.  A KTV bus is the mode of transport complete with free flow Olmeca Tequila and Capi mixers. You will receive five tokens redeemable at participating venues (for a taco or slice)and a wristband for bus festivities. We've even heard about taco-shaped piñatas. Meet at the first venue at 5pm; the bus departs at 545pm. Scan the QR code on the flyer to sign up, but hurry because spots are going quickly.

Apr 7: Street Chefs

You can depend on UP Shanghai for a good party, and they are going above and beyond with Sunday brunch this week. Resident chef Carlos Sotomayor will be hosting some of his friends (the creme de la creme of Shanghai F&B) for a food festival-style feast. The chefs include Eduardo Gomez (El Luchador), Simon Sunwoo (Liquid Laundry, etc.), Jason Oakley (Cages Bar and Sports), Austin Hu (Heritage by Madison) and Ling Huang (Pirata, Latin Woo).

Apr 8: Super Flight Mondays

Stone Brewing Tap Room is extending their Super Flight Monday deal into April with 50 percent off one flight of the day (four 5-ounce pours). Apr 9: Healthy Chinese Regional Cooking

Now that winter's finally over, Kaixin Cooking is rolling out a series of regional Chinese healthy Chinese cooking classes starting with recipes from Sichuan province. Learn how to make healthy, low oil, low sodium and low sugar versions of Sichuan eggplant, Kung Pao chicken and dan dan mian. Apr 11: Le Tribute Cocktail Dinner for Gin Lovers

Commune Social's head chef Sergio Moreno, pastry chef Kim Melvin and bar manager Kevin Hu are teaming up with guest bartender Alex Custeau for a cocktail pairing dinner.  You will get five spectacular courses paired with five delicious cocktails ranging from bittersweet and smoky to herbal and boozy.
