Shanghai's favorite literary event is back! Returning for another year to Glam and M on The Bund, M Restaurant Groupís long-running Shanghai International Literary Festival will once again be inviting dozens of award-winning and best-selling authors to the city to speak about their latest works and share their love, habits and routine of writing and reading with the audience. Christian Berishaj signed with Universal Motown back in 2008, and while heís no longer with the label, when listening to his new album Velvet, you can still hear the distinct funk that brought him there. R&B through and through, his soul-laden tracks will have you grooviní in no time. Having opened for Kendrick Lamar and garnering praise from industry legend like Usher, heís more than earned his stripes and is gracing Yuyintang for an emotional show this month.

Mar 15: Gregor Salto

Known as a Latin house artist, Gregor Salto is a versatile DJ exploring the likes of pop, soul and world beat. The DJ/Producer takes the deck at the biggest clubs in Ibiza, is constantly collaborating with artists like Pitbull, and remixing for pop stars like J-Lo, Rita Ora.

Mar 15: Stand Up Comedy Showcase

Witness some first-class Irish humor on Friday night with a stand-up comedy showcase at the Shanghai Comedy Bunker featuring top Irish comedian Darren Beattie, plus a host of other great comedians and entertainers who are guaranteed to make you laugh.

Mar 15: Hologram Dreams

"A voyage from funk into the future…" DJs Heatwolves and special guest Illsee (Stockholm Syndrome / aqualung) take Dada's dancefloor on a hyperloop journey from city-pop, italo disco, and Chicago house into new wave, electro and cybernetic madness. Celebrating a year of seminal classics, brand new sounds, unknown pleasures and rare anime visuals, this is bound to be one pretty pony of a party.

Mar 16: Amadou & Mariam

Amadou and Mariam met almost 30 years ago at the Institute for Young Blind People in Bamako, Mali, and have been making music together ever since. Having released chart-topping albums in the French Pop realm, theyíre bringing their upbeat contemporary Afro-Cuban sound to Shanghai for a bluesy afternoon show at Modern Sky Lab.

Mar 17: The Nutcracker

Christmas might be over, but this holiday classic never goes out of season. The Nutcracker is one of the most famous ballets in the world, with film, animated and literary renditions a plenty. This March, you can see it live in theatres, as Clara and her nutcracker take to the stage alongside sugarplum fairies, mice and many other magical characters.

Mar 17: Be A Legend

The home of Sleep No More will be putting on an immersive karaoke experience later this month in what looks like a full-on, flashy party. We're not really sure what to expect, but the McKinnon has yet to let us down, so this is on out list of things do to.

Mar 17: The Underground Youth

Taking influence from The Velvet Underground and Brian Jonestown Massacre, the Manchester founded band's take on old school psychedelic rock is one to be reckoned with. Their moody, raw post-punk has sold-out shows across Europe, putting on a performance that would fit right in on a Woodstock stage.
