A blast of Arctic Air is about to make things really chilly in China. While northern China will bear the brunt of the extreme weather, temperatures in Shanghai will also plunge over the next few days. It might even snow!

Shanghai will experience unseasonably cold weather, the likes of which we haven't seen since the most bone chilling days of last winter. On Saturday, the high will only reach 6 degrees Celsius (42 degrees Fahrenheit), according to The Weather Channel. To make things even more frigid, 1-2 centimeters of rain (or possibly even sleet or snow) is expected to fall in parts of the city starting tomorrow night. Rainy conditions will last all weekend long.

Jiading, Qingpu, Jinshan and Songjiang districts will likely get 3 to 5 millimeters of snow over the weekend. Other areas may likely see 1 to 2 centimeters, Shine reports.

Here's a glimpse of the weather forecast:

It is likely that the first official day of winter will be Friday December 7. Either way, it looks like fall is coming to a bitterly cold end.
