Sasha's and Zapata's Are Closing

Say goodbye to tequila shots and dancing on the bar, as both Sasha's and Zapata's are set to shut down in the coming months.

The iconic Shanghai F&B venue on Dongping Lu will close down by the beginning of 2019, according to management.

Here's the full statement from the Sasha's team:

Sasha’s is still open and will be until at least December 31, 2018!
For over two decades Sasha’s Shanghai has been a central part of Shanghai’s nightlife for locals, visitors and expats alike and we plan to keep making memories for the near future.
While it’s true we will have to leave these premises at the end of the 2018, we are planning to leave with a bang rather than a whimper, and make the best of our time left with you at this famous address.
So we look forward to welcoming you to both Sasha’s and Zapata’s right up until what is shaping up to be the biggest New Year’s Eve celebration yet!
We hope this straightens things out and we’ll see you soon.

Just three weeks ago, a drunk driver crashed into the front gate of the venue, injuring three people. Parts of the front garden are still closed to the public, though the main entrance has since reopened.
